Spectator Bets
How do Spectator Bets work?
Spectators can place bets on which players they hope will blow their brains out. Spectators are allowed to bet on up to half of the total players plus one, and their total bet is evenly distributed across their selected players.
For example, if a spectator places a 100 RNG bet on 2 players, each player effectively has a 50RNG bounty on their head.
If a spectator choose correctly, the spectator win a portion of the losing spectators' pot. The fewer players a spectator bets on, the higher their risk and potential reward. Winning spectators receive their winning bet back along with their share of the pot, adjusted based on the risk they took. IF THERE ARE NO WINNERS, SPECTATORS GET THEIR FULL BET BACK! This mechanic is noticeably different than other platforms, where if players lose, they lose 100% of their bet.
It is important to remember that spectators are not betting with the house, they are betting against each other.
In this system, the dynamic between the number of winners and losers plays a crucial role in determining payouts. If there are only a few losers but many winners, the payout for each winning spectator will be smaller, as the pot is funded by the losing spectators' bets. On the other hand, if there are more losers and fewer winners, the payouts for the winners increase significantly, as the losing bets are distributed among a smaller group of winners. This creates an interesting strategic element where spectators must weigh the likelihood of being among the few winners against the potential payout based on how many others they expect to win or lose.
